Good afternoon everyone,
We had a great day for golf at Holly Hills, hosting players from Montgomery Village (13), Hunt Valley (4), Argyle (4), and Rattlewood (27). A total of 54 golfers played two best net scores of the foursome, and some very good scores were recorded. We may not have had a large member turnout today (6), however, two of the top three teams were hosted by Holly Hills' players.
In first place with a great score of 116 was the team of JIM PARKER and guests. The second place team did not have a Holly member, and the third place team was our 50/50 coordinator, JOHN SHAFER, and guests with a 119. Four places were paid and the fourth place team also did not have a Holly member. John Shafer, Jim Parker, Jack Remsberg, Don Linton, Bill Strayton, and yours truly attended today.
The two 50/50 drawings were won by guests from other clubs. Our food and beverage staff again did a great job and served lunch after golf today.
Yesterday, 3 players from Holly Hills traveled to Challedon and played, however, I do not have the final scores. Tomorrow is an event at Piney Branch. Although Tarpley did not play golf with our group this morning, he did make an appearance at lunch and made some brief announcements about upcoming Division II events. (Yes, believe it or not, he did keep them brief as Jody threatened him before the comments).
Next week we do not have a HOME event, but have AWAY events at Westminster National on Tuesday, and Rattlewood on Wednesday. You can call or visit our PRO shop to sign up for either or both of the events.
